About Us
Franco Rizzi hails from Brooklyn, New York. He was born in 1976, the second son of Carlo and Connie Rizzi, second generation Italian immigrants.
Sports have always been a big interest. In middle school, he enrolled in a karate dojo and won several trophies in statewide competition. In high school, he played football and lifted weights, graduating in 1994 with a 3.80 grade point average.
Franco attended Brooklyn-Bell Community College for two years then moved west, to the San Francisco Bay Area. He completed his Bachelors Degree in physical education at the California State College at Oakland.
Upon graduation, Franco became an instructor at Derek Domino's Gym in San Mateo, California. Soon after, he obtained his Personal Trainer Certification from the American Federation on Fitness, followed by his Weight Management Consultant Certification.
Franco has also received his CPR Certification.
From 1998 through 2002, he authored a syndicated biweekly newspaper column on physical fitness and sports nutrition.
In 2006, Franco relocated to the Southland and opened his own business, Star Personal Trainers of Los Angeles.
His clientele includes numerous Hollywood
celebrities, corporate CEOs and well-known sports professionals.
